I'd have to go with Lisa, I've been doing a lot of research and while i'm clearly on the "they are safer then cigarettes" bandwagon, I'd not suggest it to non smokers. If you want flavor get a lollipop or some gum!

For smokers, they are a great alternative that seem to hold great promise. For non smokers, it's just tempting fate.

I would disagree that propylene glycol is dangerous and untested for inhalation. It's been tested and tested for use in entertainment fog machines and has been found to be safe in all but the most extreme circumstances, like where the mist is so thick you can't breath.

I don't have any actual data, but think of it like this, if you went to a club or a concert for an hour, how many e-cig puffs would that be? I'm betting a few days worth. But the FDA does have a point that its not been tested in this particular device and some of the flavorings are unknown.

Read the FDA media briefing transcript, it has a lot of good details in it.

If you aren't a smoker then I wouldn't bother. Its NOT just water vapor. The suspension your are inhaling is propylene glycol (which is used in asthma inhalers and fog machines among other things) or vegetable glycerin and flavorings. Without the nicotine you are still inhaling substances that are currently being tested as to what things happen to them when they are heated to vaporization. Although all of these products are found generally safe - they have not been tested to see what happens to them when using them in an e-cig.
If you're a smoker, then its pretty much a no brainer that is safER (notice the "ER") than tobacco cigs, but not proven to be entirely "safe" - if you're not a smoker - then why risk it?

Here's a forum for more info.

Why would you want to "smoke" air/water? Is that what is "cool" nowadays? Just forget the whole thing and stay 100% smoke free. Your lungs will thank you.
