Chewing tobacco is closer to pieces of the tobacco leaf. Things for flavoring are added to chewing tobacco, but it's not the same as cigarette tobacco as far as using it for chaw. Tobacco that's rolled into cigarettes has been shredded and blended with other things so it will burn. If you put tobacco from a cigarette into your mouth, it'll be all over the place -- you can't keep it together in a chunk. Go ahead and try it. By the way, I think people who chew tobacco are disgusting -- even more than people who smoke. I won't kiss a guy who chews. Also, "dip" can also be snuff, which is powdered tobacco.
